Galzarus – dragon slayer

Here is miniature that I’ve painted back in April as a birthsday gift for a good friend of mine. Dwarf is called after his nick, which is also written on the base with runes surrounded by dragon slayer symbols. I’ve got only 7 days to paint it (too short for a miniature with this amount of details, so no tatoos and other mandatory stuff), because parcel came late. I’ve finished it on a really last minute before handing it (of course painting eyes came on the very end). So, this piece is a bit rushed, but I’ve made it :).
The base is hand made from magic sculpt. I’ve also used Vallejo Water effects for the first time and I’m not very satisfied with the end result, because water surface made with it is concave instead of smooth and I had to pour several layers of it.
I’m posting it this late, because I had to borrow it to make the photos and add some finishing touches, so I will send the photos of the new version after the corrections soon …
